Supporting and cheering up who you are, through active listening and interaction
I'm committed to dedicating my energy and attentive listening skills to guide you on your journey towards self-discovery and to support you in making choices that align with your true self.
Gestalt therapy offers an opportunity to deepen your self-awareness and to fully engage with the present moment, fostering a sense of connection with your surroundings.
Think of it as a therapy of movement, a journey towards a more authentic and fulfilling way of being.
Why therapy ?
If you wish to be an active participant in your life and seek help and support rather than go through challenging times alone, I can accompany you, especially in the following areas:
Self-confidence issues, anxiety, and depression: If you're struggling with self-confidence issues or dealing with anxiety and depression, Gestalt therapy can assist you in addressing these challenges.
Loss of direction and purpose: When you feel lost or are seeking a sense of purpose in your life, Gestalt therapy can help you find clarity.
Emotional and sexual disorders: Whether you're facing emotional or sexual disorders or encountering difficulties in these areas, Gestalt therapy provides a safe space for exploring these issues.
Desire and sexuality: Gestalt therapy can support your exploration of desire and sexuality, helping you better understand these aspects of your life.
Identity exploration and existential crisis: If you want to explore your identity, where you come from, or where you're going, and understand your polarities, Gestalt therapy offers an environment conducive to self-discovery and growth.
Life transitions: Whether it's a significant change in your life, such as relocation, expatriation, parenthood, or a career change, Gestalt therapy can help you navigate these transitions.
Challenging life phases: Gestalt therapy can be beneficial during difficult life phases, such as managing loss (grief), separation, burnout, or illness, whether it's for yourself or a loved one.
Focusing more on "How "rather than "Why"
Step by step, I accompany you to help you overcome and unblock what holds you back. Together, we explore and investigate how you engage with your environment in the here and now, how to identify, welcome, and mobilize your resources, and how to create movement that will allow you to grow, regain momentum, and find fluidity.
The gestalt approach focuses on how this interaction unfolds and takes shape ("Gestalt," a German term, means form or figure), thereby revealing our "being in the world." In this approach, the work centers around emotions, sensations, and imagination, with the aim of restoring fluidity in areas of fixation.
The idea is to bring about an awareness of interruptions, ruptures, inhibitions, and directives that lead to behaviors that may no longer be or never were well-suited to the situation or the present moment, and which can be sources of suffering.
In Practice
In my work, I bring who I am, and I engage with what emerges in our interaction and relationship, focusing on the here and now, on the contact.
I practice in person in a dynamic, interactive, yet non-directive approach, which is highly supportive and incorporates the somatic experience, various forms of media, and creativity.
In Gestalt therapy, we co-create the therapeutic space, and I adapt to your uniqueness.
I provide individual therapy for adolescents and adults.
Sessions can be in English and/or in French
Each session lasts for 50 minutes, and the frequency is determined together, often weekly or bi-weekly based on my recommendations.
Gestalt therapy is a medium-term therapy aimed at exploring your way of being in the world, with the goal of empowering you in your life and choices.
It's a confidential, safe, and welcoming space where you can freely express yourself without judgment.
